What is Canvas?
is a web-based learning management system. It is used by instructors and students to access and manage online course learning materials.
How to Login
- Access your Canvas account using the or use the .
- All Âé¶¹´«Ã½ students have access to a Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Student Email account. This account uses the same password as your myÂé¶¹´«Ã½ account.
How Do I Know if My Class Uses Canvas?
When viewing the , look for the Instruction Mode column, which now includes new, more precise names for each type of class mode. The way a class is conducted is called its course mode. This determines how students interact with instructors and engage with content during the learning experience. Different course modes offer varied ways of participating in the class.
Online Course Materials
If a course has online materials, they are probably in Canvas. Some instructors, however, host their online materials elsewhere. If you did not see your course in Canvas, the best thing to do is to check with your instructor. Most courses will not be available until the first day of the quarter.
Canvas Dashboard
Your Canvas dashboard gives you an overview of what you have going on in Canvas. The Dashboard List View displays your active courses in the center of the page and to the right all of your course To Do items by date due. The To Do list can help you manage tasks across all of your courses.

Learning to Use Canvas
